It has been a while since I appeared for Cisco Certified Network Associate exam and successfully achieved another milestone in the life by passing it. Although, I passed the exam back in August 2025, but, I was busy with a lot of stuff due to which I was not able to share about my journey. No worries, Happiness never gets old and today 7th of March 2026. I thought to write about it.
It was 2020, when first time I came to know about CCNA exam, that was the starting point of my journey in the field of Computer Networks, and today, I’m happy to see that how much I progressed in the field.
As I mentioned above, I started to study different random topics for CCNA from 2020, but I never really prepared for it in a good way and financials that are required to appear in the exam were not really affordable, but I never stopped to learn about the computer networks. Back in early 2025, I started to save money to pay for the exam, and this is the time when I decided that I’m going to appear for this exam, and I did it in August 2025.
I used the official certification guide for the preparation of the exam, and I was using Cisco’s Packet tracer to practice the theory in action by performing the labs of the different topics. I think these are the best resources available for the study of computer networks, particularly for the preparation of CCNA exam. If anyone reading this, and interested in the exam then go for Official Cert guides and Cisco Packet tracer without thinking twice. That’s the best way to prepare for it.
I would like to emphasize that focus on the understanding of concepts rather than memorizing the things. In order to be a good Network Engineer, It is important to understand that how routing and switching works like what exactly is happening behind the scenes or say how a protocol is working to perform it’s duty. If you know these things then no one can stop you from being a good Network Engineer. So, yeah, focus on things that really matter.
And, I’m attaching a snapshot of Certification Verification page for anyone who may wants to see that.
That’s all for today…
